Dräger has developed an important new detection system not available from any other manufacturer – specialized sets that detect up to five different chemical agents simultaneously – in just five minutes.
The Draeger CDS civil defense set utilizes colorimetric Dräger detector tubes, the same tube chemistry used by NATO for many years in single tube detectors. The Dräger CDS Kit provides two CDS sets for detection of eight chemical substances, including nerve, blood, lung, nose and throat irritating agents.
The Aberdeen Proving Ground group1) tested tubes for nerve irritating agents as an example for Dräger CDS-tubes: The Dräger-tubes® performed well in all tests and the results were consistent. The interferences did not affect their performance.
To make training for the CDS sets as easy and cost-saving as possible, Dräger offers training sets for CDS I and CDS V.
